Need Help As First Time Home Buyer? San Diego County Can Help You!

California is a beautiful place to live. What isn’t there to like about our great state? We have beautiful beaches, plenty of scenic attractions and people from all walks of life.

California is also great place to start and raise a family but there is one issue that can hold people back from realizing this dream. The cost of housing. It is no secret that housing prices have shot up in San Diego County after the great recession.

In fact the median price of resale homes has continued to increase in June. The median price of an existing, single-family detached home in San Diego was $525,000 in June.  Year over year the increase is 15.3 percent!

While this is good news for homeowners, this is not so good news for buyers, especially first time buyers who tend to have lower budgets for the purchase of a home.

DOWNPAYMENT & CLOSING COST ASSISTANCE (DCCA)/CALHOME Program

Even though housing prices have continued to rise, it is still possible to get the home that you want. You can get help from San Diego County with the purchase of your home. San Diego County has a down payment and closing cost assistance (DCCA) program that is available to you.
